Submission guidelines:

• All submissions must be anonymized. Please do not include any identifying information in the name or body of your submission file. Please note that submitting documents via Google Forms does allow Google Forms to make a copy of the document with your name included in the title; we are aware that this happens and it is not an issue, as long as there is no identifying information within the document itself.
• Pieces should be written in Times New Roman, font size 12. Exceptions will be made if font style/size is integral to the work.
• Documents will only be accepted in the PDF format.
• Poetry submissions may not exceed 250 lines per poem.
• Prose submissions may not exceed 1500 words per piece. When submitting prose pieces, please include a word count at the top of your piece.
• Writers who are current University of Toronto students are permitted to submit two pieces for consideration, poetry or prose. All external writers may only submit one poem or prose piece.

Good to know:

• An honorarium of $20 per piece will be given to the writers selected for publication.
• As a courtesy to other contributors, please submit only once per submission period. The current submission period is from January 15 to January 29.
• We encourage simultaneous submissions, but please let us know if your pieces have been accepted elsewhere.
• Acta Victoriana will only contact successful submitters. You may inquire about the status of your piece by sending an email to info@actavictoriana.ca, but we kindly ask that you refrain from emailing until at least one month after our submission period has ended (February 26). 
• If you are uploading multiple submissions (UofT students only), please upload your submissions as separate documents, one in each file upload question.
